Los Angeles, Feb 8 (IANS): English singer Ed Sheeran has denied the reports about collaborating with Justin Bieber.
It was rumoured that Bieber and Sheeran will team up for a song, but the latter feels that an association between two male artists is difficult, reports thesun.co.uk.
"I don't think a collaboration would work with Justin," Sheeran said.
"I think collaborations should be done with people that can actually click. Two male singers makes it very difficult for it to work," he added.
Sheeran says the rumour started because he was seen meeting Bieber's manager.
"I met Bieber's manager Scooter Braun in New York and he said he's got this artist I want you to write with," Sheeran said.
"Next time I was in LA, I was doing Jimmy Kimmel and he brought this girl to Kimmel and I met her straight afterwards. I then went to the studio and did a song," he added.
Meanwhile, Sheeran will be seen singing a duet with Elton John at the forthcoming Grammy Awards.
