Mangalore, Jan 30: "Yeddyurappa is the only person who works without self-benefit. During his tenure, he has undertaken several development projects and has made the state rank second in the country when it comes to development", said KJP state secretary Ramachandra Baikampady.
He addressed the gathering during enrollment of new members to the party held at town hall on Wednesday January 30.
He added saying that during Yeddyurappa’s rule in the state, he has released several funds for this district and people have always admired him for his works. When he was ruling the state was ranking second in development but now it ranks in 11th position which clearly indicates that, Yeddyurappa is the only capable person of developing the state.
"Once up on a time, BSY had full hold over Vidhana Sabha but later due to the cruel behavior of some people, unnecessary allegations were put on him and was finally terminated from his position. After his termination, the development works in the state shattered. In order to fight against the Congress and BJP corrupt rule, he started a new party and we have supported him", he said adding more members are expected to join the party soon.
"The present state government has mainly targeted people of coastal region especially fisherman by increasing the diesel prices and many families have been affected by this. Hence we demand KJP to stable the fuel price and we should also oppose the diversion of Nethravathi river", he added.
"With regard to this, the party will hold a protest at Nethravathi bridge in Ullal on February 2", he said.
On the occasion, Yogesh Shetty Jeppu, founder president of Tulunadu Rakshana Vedike and several others joined the party.
Jagadish Hiremani, state secretary, Mariamma Thomas, former MLA Kushalappa, Hameed Kudroli, Kamaraja Rai and several others were present.
