USA, Jan 30: Rohan D'Souza was recently awarded the Ad Altare Dei (AAD) Emblem, by Fr Joseph R Binzer, at the Cathedral of Saint Peter in Chains in the City of Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Ad Altare Dei (AAD) program which Rohan accomplished is designed for Boy Scouts of the Catholic Church, 13-14 years of age. Ad Altare Dei is organized into steps based on the seven sacraments.

The goal of the program is to foster faith growth within the scout. Through this bridging of experiences the knowledge Rohan has already received concerning the sacraments should become more personal and intimate him in his life.

14-year-old Rohan D'Souza is a first class in Boy Scouts Troop 18 at Saint Saviour Catholic Church and the son of Harold and Dancy D'Souza.

Saint Peter in Chains Cathedral is the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cincinnati. It is a Greek revival structure. Saint Peter in Chains was begun with the laying of its cornerstone on 20 May 1841, under the direction of then-bishop (later archbishop) John Baptist Purcell, and formally dedicated on November 2, 1845. Its striking single spire, which soars to two-hundred and twenty feet above street level, was the tallest man-made structure in the city of Cincinnati for many decades, and is constructed of pure white limestone.
