Mangalore: Ashokanagar Yuvaka Sangha to organize chess tournament

Mangalore, Jan 30: On the occasion of the 52 Anniversary of Ashokanagar Yuvaka Sangha, invites chess players and enthusiasts  to participate in the AYS trophy - 2013

The tournament will be held at the inter district level  and an inter school rapid chess tournament will also be organized on Sunday February 3 at the  Ashokanagar Higher Primary School.

The categories will include sub juniors (U-15), under 12, under 10, under 8.

Players from DK, Udupi and Kasragod districts can participate; and the age as on January 1 2013 will be considered. Age proof is a must. Participants are required to report at the venue at 9 am

Winners will receive a  Rs 20,000 as a cash prize. The top 5 players and top 3 girls  in each age group will be awarded. Prizes will be distributed on the  52 anniversary to be held on March 9.

Players shall register for the tournament on or before February 1.  There will be no spot registration. Late entries will not be accepted.
