Mangalore, Jan 29: A free eye check-up camp was organized for the residents of Shakthinagar by Prasad Nethralaya, multi specialty eye hospital on Sunday January 27.
The camp was jointly organized by Prasad Netralaya super specialist eye hospital in collaboration with Lions Club Lalbhag, Catholic Sabha Shakthinagar, Deepa Friends club Shakthinagar, Netra Jyothi Charitable trust and district health and family welfare society.
Fr Godfrey Saldanha along with other dignitaries on the dais inaugurated the camp.
Prominent doctors of Prasad Eye clinic such as Dr Krishna Prasad, Dr Vikram Jain, Gilbert Pinto, Lions Club president, Johnson D’Souza, catholic sabha president, Shashidar, president of Deepa friends club shared the dais.
Dr Krishna Prasad in his address asked people to take the maximum benefit of the camp and also briefed about the activities of Prasad Netralaya. He also cautioned people to take necessary precautions when they face any problem with eyes.
More than 200 people took benefit from this free eye checkup camp and more than 100 spectacles were distributed free of cost.
As many as 15 people are considered for the operation and all the expenses will also be borne by Prasad Netralaya.
