Baghdad, Jan 16 (IANS): At least 17 people were killed and 133 wounded in two bomb attacks that targetted offices of Kurdish parties in Iraq Wednesday, the police said.
In one attack, 15 people were killed and over 105 injured, when a suicide bomber drove his explosive-laden truck into the entrance of the Kurdistan Democratic Party's (KDP) office in Kirkuk city, some 250 km from Baghdad, a police source said.
The injured included officials and security members at the Kurdish office.
In a separate incident, at least two people were killed and 28 wounded in a car bomb explosion near the office of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), a Kurdish party, in Tuz-Khurmato city, some 200 km from Baghdad, a police source said.
The PUK is a Kurdish party headed by Iraqi President Jalal Talabani.
