Mangalore: Annual Festival of Kadri Manjunatha Temple to Commence on Jan 14

Mangalore, Jan 10:
The annual festival of historic Kadri Manjunatha temple will begin on the auspicious day of Makarasankranthi, on Monday January 14. The festivities will be held for nine days. It will commence with the religious ritual 'Theertha Snana' at 4 am and ‘Dwajarohana’ to take place in the evening, said A Janardhana Shetty, president of administrative committee while addressing the press meet here on Friday January 11.
 
On January 20, Mahapooja will be held followed by mass feeding of devotees.

Various rituals will be performed on all the nine days. Various arrangements are made for devotees, he informed.
 
Ningaiah, executive officer, Devadas Kumar, Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, HK Purshotham and Rathnakar Puthran among others were present at the press meet.
