Mangalore : Youth Cong Rally against BJP Govt on January 15


Mangalore, Jan 9 (DHNS) : Demanding the dissolution of the State Assembly, district youth Congress will stage a protest rally and vehicle rally, at Mangalore South Assembly constituency limits, on January 15.

Addressing a press meet here on Tuesday, District Youth Congress President Mithun Rai said that the infight in the BJP has affected development work in the State. The State administration has collapsed and has become inactive. “The leaders in the BJP are engaged in looting resources of the State. Hence, it is essential to create awareness on the failure of the State government,” he said.

Stating that the BJP has been misleading the youth of the State, Rai said that the BJP is engaged in instilling the feeling of communal in the minds of the youth. The Youth Congress will stage a vehicle rally from Urwa Store and will culminate with a public meeting at Kannur Maidan.

The rally will pass through Ladyhill-MCC-PVS-City Centre-Sharavu Temple Road-Hampankatta-Light House Hill-Jyothi-Balmatta-Karavali Circle-Pumpwell-Nagori-Alape-Kannur. The rally will be flagged off by MP Oscar Fernandes. Similalrly, the Youth Congress will hold padayatra in Sullia, street plays in Bantwal constituency, to highlight the failure of the State government.

The BJP which came to power with a promise of providing unemployment alowance to the youth, has failed in fulfilling the promise.

It had promised to give Rs 1,000 to the unemployed youth in its manifesto.
Mangalore South Assembly constituency youth wing President Praveen Chandra Alva said that the corrupt state government does not have any moral right to be in power.
