Udupi, Jan 9: Yakshagana Kalaranga’s sister association Vidhyaposhak institution in collaboration with Canara bank provided Selco company’s solar electricity facilities for 33 students homes, which were devoid of electricity.
Bangalore Canara bank veteran manager Premanath symbolically inaugurated the programme, which was held in the residence of Hanumanthi and Huligamma beneficiaries of the project.
The stage function was held at the Yakshagana Kalaranga’s office with the presidential presence of KM Udupa, director of Bharathiya Jnana Vikasa Trust.
On this occasion, Canara Bank chief manager Krishnamoorthy said that the bank wil be ever ready to support the Yakshagana Kalaranga for its pro-social activities. Sharath Poojary, student of Kokarne and Perduru Nagarathi spoke on behalf of benefited students.
Selco officer Gurumurthy was present on this occasion.
Institution president Thalur Shivaram welcomed the gathering. Vidhyaposhak secretary Muruli Kadekar compered the program. The joint secretary proposed the vote of thanks.
