Mangalore, Dec 10: AJ Institute of Management, a constituent unit of Laxmi Memorial Education Trust, Mangalore, recently conducted a National Programme on technology enhanced learning here in the campus.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr Ganesh Bhat, professor of St Mary’s College, Shirva.
In his inaugural address, he described today’s students as ‘screenagers’, as the present generation spends most of their time in front of the computer, mobile and television screens. “If you want to change the face look, don’t waste your time gossiping and ‘facebooking’, instead read books and log onto good blogs and acquire information,” he advised the students.
The guest of honour of the programme, Nisar Ahmed, manager, Campus Relations, Classle Knowledge Private Limited, Chennai urged the students to have an orientation towards the importance of technology enabled learning.
Dr T Jayaprakash Rao, director, AJ Institute of Management, delivered the presidential address.
Robin M Shinde, faculty coordinator of the national programme on technology enchanced learning welcomed the gathering and introduced the guests. In his welcome speech, he said that technology and humans have become inseparable.
Swapna Shetty J, first year MBA student of the college proposed the vote of thanks.
Mayur Hegde and Sonalu Naik, first year MBA students, compered the programme.
