Kigali (Rwanda), Nov 28 (IANS): At least six members of the rebel Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR) were killed while launching an attack early Tuesday, the military said.
"The rebels attacked at dawn. The Rwanda Defense Forces kill six rebels and captured two. The rebel shot and killed one civilian and injured three who are now at Bugeshi health centre," reported Xinhua quoting Rwandan army spokesperson, Joseph Nzabamwita.
The FDLR linked to the 1994 Rwanda massacre has been reportedly holed up in the eastern part of the neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
