Mangalore, Nov 26: AIMIT, in association with Lions Club International, District 317-D will organize Sanjeevini 2012 - a voluntary blood donation camp at AIMIT campus, Beeri on November 28 from 9 am to 5 pm.
The punch line for this year’s Sanjeevini has been aptly coined as ‘Donate blood today – Gift life tomorrow’. The event along with blood donation will have a general health checkup for all the donors and participants.
The chief guest for Sanjeevini will be Dr Nitesh Bhandary who will preside over the inaugural function. The event is coordinated by faculty coordinators Sumitha Achar and Venkatesh Amin along with Hedley M D’Souza, the student coordinator. The event is expected to have a participation of more than 300 donors.
Keeping its tradition of the last six years alive at AIMIT, St Aloysius College partnering with Mangalore Lions Club International District 317-D will organize the blood donation camp at the campus. Running for the seventh year in a succession, this life saving mission is the brain-child of Fr Denzil Lobo, SJ, director, AIMIT.
A street play will be conducted at 3 pm on November 26, at various venues in and around Beeri, to create awareness about donating blood and to encourage the youth to come forward for this noble cause.
AIMIT, St Aloysius College, believes that organizing blood donation camps on a regular basis is very important. It believes that all sections of society should contribute towards the society and save lives. All are invited to take an active part in this noble cause.
