Mangalore: Man Murders Brother-in-law at Mulky, Arrested

Mangalore, Nov 26: In a shocking incident, a person was allegedly killed by his wife’s younger brother with a bat and sharp weapons on Sunday November 25 night. The incident occured near Haleangady-Lighthouse in Mulky police limits.
It is learnt that Nagesh (46), a mason worker and resident of Lighthouse, had misunderstandings with his wife from past few years. Due to this he would spend nights in Omkareshwar Bhajan Mandir. At times when he went home he would have fights with his wife’s brother Ajith (25). It is learnt that Ajith objected to Nagesh coming home.
On Sunday November 25, Nagesh went to his wife’s house at around 9 pm, after which a quarrel broke out between Nagesh and Ajith who was present there. In a fit of rage, Ajith attacked Nagesh with a bat and other sharp weapons. It is learnt that Nagesh collapsed and died after he suffered serious injuries over face, neck and other parts of the body.
After making sure that Nagesh was dead, the accused Ajith fled from the place.
A case was registered in Mulky police station. As per latest reports, police on Monday November 26 traced and arrested Ajith.
Further investigations are on. Ajith is said to be involved in hooliganism in the locality and a few cases have been registered against him.
Nagesh’s body has been kept in Mulky Government hospital morgue.
