Bhatkal: Trying to Save Woman, Two Biker Riders Die in Accident

Bhatkal, Nov 24: In the third case of accident reported in Murdershwar this month, two persons were killed in a collision between a mini bus and a bike.
The accident occured at around 12.30 pm at Tarranmakki, Murdeshwar here on Saturday November 24.
The deceased have been identified as Ishwar Naik (25) and Satish Naik (22) who were riding the bike. Both were residents of Bengre-Moodshirali near here.
The accident occured when a woman who was crossing the road came in the way and Ishwar swerved the bike to avoid hitting her. A Mahindra mini bus which was plying from the opposite direction hit the bike.
The two were rushed to RNS hospital with critical injuries, however, they could not be saved.
After post-mortem, the bodies were handed over to the families.
A case has been registered in the Murdeshwer police station.
This is the this fatal accident reported from Murdeshwar in less than 10 days. On November 16, one person was killed and another seriously injured when a Honda Activa collided with a Maruti Omni, and one November 20, one was killed and two injured when a lorry carrying fish rammed into a tree.
