Mangalore, Nov 15: India's first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru's birth anniversary was celebrated by the district Congress by lending a floral tribute to Nehru’s portrait here on Wednesday November 14.
Speaking on this occasion, district Congress president Ramanath Rai said that Nehru was the one who implemented the Five Year Plan and tried to make the nation strong. Addressing the gathering, KPCC secretary Ivan D’Souza said that there is no doubt that Nehru has struggled a lot to build the nation before and after independence.
