Udupi, Nov 5:
Nagadarshana and Ashlesha Balli was held in Belapu village under the leadership of Belapu Devi Prasad Shetty on Saturday November 3.
 
Devi Prasad Shetty along with the residential colony registered inmates performed the Nagadarshana and Ashlesha Balli in order to get rid of Nagadosha while leveling the residential colony.


Yellur Vedha Murthy Venkataraja Thantri performed Ashlesha Balli and rituals to 26 anthills. Later Nagapatri Veda Murthy Sagri Vasudev Samaga performed the Nagadarshana that consented to erect residential site.
 
Devi Prasad Shetty said that in Belapu village, nearly 8.33 acre land, with the cooperation of district administration and representatives, will be utilized to build houses in the residential colony in urban regional model for those 167 landless families who were deprived of the Rajiv Gandhi housing scheme.
 
Belapu gram panchayat vice president Niranjan Shetty Paniyur, grampanchayath member Prakash Rao, Suresh Devadiga, Vimala Anchan, gram panchayat former vice president Yogish Poojary, Lokesh Shetty Belapu Guthu and several villagers gathered during the occasion.
