Mangalore: Confraternity Sunday Celebrated at St Jude Church, Pakshikere

Mangalore, Oct 22: On October 21, the Confraternity Sunday was celebrated at the Pakshikere parish as a preparation for the up coming annual feast of St Jude.

The programme began at 4:30 pm with the offertory procession from the market place at Pakshikere.

                  

People from in and around the parish had contributed their offerings in kind, which was gathered at the market place.

Fr Andrew D’Souza blessed the offerings and Fr Sunil Pinto thanked everyone for their generous offerings.

The mass began at 5:15 pm in the parish.  Fr Alfred D'Souza was the main celebrant, Fr Dolphy Serravo  preached in Kannada during the Eucharistic procession.

The offerings are collected for the Annasantharpane (Festive Meal) which will be held on October 23 with community wedding celebrations. The procession conducted was a grand success.
