Kundapur: Secular Franciscan Order Celebrates Golden Jubilee at St Pius X Church

Kundapur, Oct 22: The golden jubilee of the Secular Franciscan Order (SFO) was celebrated at St Pius X church, Piusnagar, Kundapur with great fervour recently.

The Thanksgiving Mass was celebrated by Fr Joachim D'Souza and Fr Sudeep Gonsalves.

Fr John Walter Mendonca, parish priest, Piusnagar inaugurated the golden jubilee programme.

Founder members Rosy D'Souza, Carmine Menezes and Celine Fernandes were honoured on the occasion.

Secular Franciscan national spiritual assistant Fr Joachim D'Souza, Kundapur zone spiritual director Fr Sudeep Gonsalvees, Sr Loranza, superior, St Ann's Convent Piusnagar, Philip Fernandes, vice-president of Piusnagar, Leena D'Souza, secretary, Piusnagar, Rita Crasta, president, SFO Kundapur varado, Philomena Braganza, secretary, SFO Kundapur varado, Theresa D'lima, president, SFO Piusnagar and Premila D'Sa, secretary, Piusnagar were present.

Suneetha D'Mello conducted the programme while Premilla proposed the vote of thanks.
