Kaveri Express Derails at Kuppam, 20 Injured

Bangalore, Oct 22 (DHNS): The Chennai-bound Kaveri Express derailed in the early hours on Monday near Kuppam, Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh.  More than 20 people are reportedly hurt in the accident.

Four bogies including the engine of Kaveri Express train went off the track. Rescue operations are hindered by heavy rains in the region.

The injured are admitted to Chittoor hospital. Special buses have been arranged for the stranded passengers.
