Islamabad, Oct 16 (IANS): At least 11 people were killed and over a dozen injured in two traffic accidents in Pakistan Tuesday, media reports said.
Citing Urdu TV channel Ary, Xinhua said nine people were killed and a dozen injured when a bus heading towards Karachi from Punjab province overturned around 7 a.m. near Nawabshah city in Sindh province.
Traffic police said the bus overturned when the tyre rod broke.
A couple of hours later, a passenger van's CNG cylinder blew up, killing at least two people on board, and wounding several others in Narowal city in Punjab.
The exact reason of the blast was not known, but poor manufacturing quality of CNG cylinders has often led to such blasts.
