Bantwal, Oct 10: Locals stopped a Malyalam film crew while shooting a film at Karinja hill here on Tuesday October 9.
As per the information received, the film crew consisted of a few boys and only two girls. The locals suspected them of being indulged in immoral activities. Adding to this, a mini camera was being used. The locals objected the film shoot and even informed Poonjalkatte police.
Another source told Daijiworld that the locals who stopped the film shoot were members of Hindu outfits, who suspected the boys and girls to belong to two different communities. It is also learnt that the outfit reached the spot after receiving information that Hindu girls being used by boys of another community in the film and started augments with the crew. The members of outfit had also informed the police in advance.
After thorough investigation, police sources said that they had permission for the film shoot from the concerned officials.
