Udupi, Sep 30 (DHNS) : MLA Raghupathy Bhat said Chief Minister Jagdish Shettar will inaugurate renovated Town hall built at a cost of Rs 4 crore on October 1.
Speaking to media persons, the MLA said the Chief Minister will unveil the statue of Karamballi Sanjeev Shetty at Ambagilu junction on his arrival to temple town, following which, he will lay foundation stone to the four-laning of Kalsanka-Tangadangadi stretch at Kalsanka junction. The four-laning process is taken up at the cost of Rs 26.5 crores. The Chief Minister will visit Krishna temple and also BJP office, he added.
He will inaugurate the hostel built by Social Welfare Department at a cost of Rs 1 crore and also a hostel built by DIET institution. He will lay the foundation stone for sophisticated traffic station complex in the premises of the present traffic station. It is built at a cost of Rs 1 crore. He will visit Vartha Bhavan and later inaugurate Bujanga Park and finally he will inaugurate the newly renovated Town Hall. He will address the gathering in public programme at Town Hall. The programme will culminate with the conference elaborating on the achievements of BJP government in Udupi, he added.
In Amasebailu
Earlier, speaking to media persons, Third Finance Commission Recommendations Implementation Task Force Chairman A G Kodgi briefed over the Chief Ministers programme in Amasebailu.
He said Chief Minister Jagdish Shettar will inaugurate the newly built police station in Amasebailu. He will also perform the foundation stone laying ceremony for the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and also drinking water project.
Kodgi said the solar village built at the cost of Rs 1.5 crores will be inaugurated by State Power Minister Shobha Karandlaje.
Shimoga MP B Y Raghavendra will lay foundation stone for Tombattu-Bagimane Bridge that is built at the cost of Rs 3 crore. Minister for Port, Muzrahi and Inland Water Transport Kota Srinivas Poojary will lay foundation stone for fish market.
Udupi-Chikmagalur MP Jayaprakash Hegde will lay foundation stone for agriculture market on the occasion, he added.
Chief Minister will arrive at Amasebailu directly from Bangalore on October 1 and later he will attend programmes in Udupi in the afternoon.
