Bangalore, Sep 25: President Pranab Mukherjee will inaugurate Karnataka’s prestigious second legislature complex, ‘Suvarna Soudha,’ in Belgaum on October 11.
The Rs 400 crore building built by the State Government on the model of the stone marvel, Vidhana Soudha, in Bangalore built by former Chief Minister Kengal Hanumanthaiah is a magnificient building housing the bi-cameral legislature and the Secretariat.
Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar said the President had accepted the State Government’s request for inaugurating the Suvarna Soudha and later address a joint session of the State Legislative Assembly and Council.
The government planned to hold the winter session of the legislature during November or December, he said.
