New Delhi, Sep 21 (IANS): It was a bright, sunny Friday morning for the capital with the minimum temperature settling a notch below average for the season at 23.9 degrees Celsius. The met department forecast a cloudy day ahead.
"The skies will be clear in the morning and it will turn partly cloudy towards afternoon," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 35 degrees Celsius, added the official.
The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 83 percent.
According to the IMD, the capital received a total rainfall of only 544.3 mm this monsoon -- 13 percent less than the average for the season.
Thursday's maximum temperature was a notch below average at 32.9 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was average at 24.6 degrees Celsius.
