Udupi, Sep 14: A management conclave was organized by the Manipal Institute of Management, here on Thursday September13.
Vijay Nair, senior general manager, HR administration and employee relations, Mahindra and Mahindra, was the chief guest for the function which was presided over by Dr H S Ballal, pro-chancellor, Manipal University.
Professor P Ramakrishna Chadaga, director, Manipal Institute of Management, formally invited the guests and the gathering.
Professor T Jagannthan, chief coordinator and organizer, briefed about the programme and emphasized on combining institutional learning with industry learning and said that it was the main aim behind organizing the management conclave.
Vijay Nair said that constant interaction with industry people for upgradation of skills in accordance with the changing industrial trends is very essential.
Dr H S Ballal stressed on the development and use of generic drugs to reduce the cost of healthcare and to ensure education and healthcare to all.
The conclave witnessed discussion and presentations by various eminent personalities like R Hariharan, AVP and regional head, SBI Mutual Fund Private Limited, Bangalore, Abhinandan, DGM, Narayan Hrudayalaya, Bangalore, Dilip Sawant, VP-Supply Chain, Elder Pharmaceuticals, Mumbai and Arun Rao, GM, Warehousing and 3PL Services, Mumbai, on the issues related to management and healthcare.
