Mangalore: Free Workshop Held on World Physiotherapy Day

Mangalore, Sep 10:
A free workshop was held on the occasion of ‘World Physiotherapy Day’ here at M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy on Saturday September 8.

The workshop was jointly organized by Sports and Fitness Training Federation of India in association with Indian Association of Physiotherapists.

The workshop was inaugurated by Dr Surajeet Chakrabarty, president of Indian academy of fitness training.

Dr Surajeet in his address appreciated Sports and Fitness Training Federation of India and Dr M V Shetty College on celebrating World Physiotherapy Day. He also added that physiotherapists improve quality of life and physio’s are the only one who can really work for the fitness and give total fitness.

He addressed the gathering by saying that in short span of 15 years physiotherapy has come along a long way. Dr U T Ifthikar Ali, president of Sports and Fitness Training Federation of India was also present.

The workshop was held in two sessions. The first session was the theory sessions which was conducted after the inaugural function which enhanced the delegates knowledge and made them actively participate on the topic ‘Role of Physiotherapy in Fitness Field’.

The second session was the practical session which made the theory session more clear to understand and to apply in the professional field. More than 100 delegates from various colleges were part of the workshop.

Professor Sanjay Eapen Samuel, PG director of M V Shetty College welcomed, Ripun MPT student compered and Dr Mohammad Suhail, organizing secretary, assistant professor of M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy delivered the vote of thanks.
