'Sezari', networks with other similar associations/organizations in order to promote Konkani language and culture. It also strives for overall enrichment of the members and their families through socio-economic, cultural and spiritual programs. Sezari promotes national integration and communal harmony between members, families and communities.
Within a short span of time 'Sezari' with the support, commitment and enthusiasm of its members and vibrant office bearers and executive committee has been able to carve a niche in the hearts and minds of Konkani speaking families in Bangalore.
Whether it is a cultural fiesta or a sports meet, 'Sezari' is there with its members from young to aged with full spirit. 'Sezari' has won the champions trophy for the second consecutive year in the sports meet conducted by FKCA (Federation of Konkani Catholic Associations)
They have also made a representation demanding the prominence to Konkani language in the liturgy to the Papal Committee which visited Bangalore in July.
Justice M F Saldhana in his address during the annual day function of Sezari had rightly commented – ‘there is no substitute for the word ‘Sezari’ in Konkani.
A person understands the right meaning only when he pronounces that word in Konkani. And 'Sezari' has been able to bond the member families in right spirit while responding to the needs of the needy and children.
A fund has been established for the assistance of educational needs of children irrespective of caste, creed and religion. Timely medical help has been provided to the needy patients. It has been possible only with the generous contribution of member families. Sezari has many vibrant programs in the days to come – to bring together Konkani Speaking Families of Bangalore and also to reach out to many needy children and people in need.
