Udupi Aug 28: The Department of Commerce, Manipal University and Institute of Chartered Accountants of India , New Delhi will be jointly organizing a seminar on “ Accounting –an aid for Superlative Business Development” on Monday August 29.
The seminar will be conducted for students pursuing accountancy education in Manipal University. It is a combined effort from the Department of commerce and leading professional body like ICAI to create awareness on latest development in the field of accounting and its contribution to the overall growth in the trade and commerce.
The seminar will be held for a day at the MIT hall at 9.30 am on August 29.
Prominent CAs Madhukar Hiregange(Vice Chairman, ICAI, Newdelhi) Nanu R Mallya (senior partner, Mallya and Mallya , Bangalore) will grace the occassion.
They will share their thoughts on “The Evaluation of Indian Accounting Profession” and “Commerce and Accountancy Education – Role of ICAI”.
The technical sessions will cover IFRS, direct taxes code, international capital markets and auditing standard.
Sandeep Shenoy (Manipal University, HOD) deliver the welcome speech. The seminar will be inaugurated by Muralidhar Rao( AGM,Karnataka Bank, Mangalore), Barath Krishna Nayak (Chief Financial Officer ,Manipal Group).
The seminar will be presided over by Dr G K Prabhu, (registrar Manipal University).
