Bantwal: Lorry Topples Killing 828 Poultry, Residents Grab Opportunity to Feast

Bantwal, Aug 28: A lorry transporting chicken illegally to Kerala overturned and toppled near Kepu- Myra on the Kalladka -Kanhangad road on the night of Sunday August 26 .

The incident took place as the driver lost control maneuvering a sharp turn near the Myra road. The driver and the owner Sharif are said to be out of danger. Sharif is a resident of Badiadka.

The lorry was carrying 144 cages with 12 chickens each. 828 birds from 69 cages are said to be dead while birds from 75 cages are alive.

Local residents and passer-bys have grabbed the opportunity and have not made the meat go to waste. Sources say that local chicken fanatics will definitely feast on all the meat they have acquired by this mishap.

    It's all due to UPA..no food for people..!! Just grab..government is also doing the same...and investing in swiss banks..!!
