Mangalore, Aug 25: Chief minister Jagadish Shettar on his maiden visit to the city visited Kadri Park and the circuit house on Saturday August 25.
At Kadri Park he flagged off a new development programme by planting a sapling. He also unveiled the foundation stone for the park.
At the circuit house he met the concerned officials and patiently heard the grievances of the public. The main issues discussed were the recent increase in rat fever cases, Kudremukh tiger relief development sanctuary, and the cases of endosulfan affected children in Puttur and Belthangady taluks.
Speaking on the issue of the Tiger reserve in Kudremukh National Park, the government has said that it will arrange for the necessary compensation for the affected families. He also mentioned that relief will be provided for the pesticide affected children.
Nalin Kumar, M P; C T Ravi, Higher Education and District In-Charge Minister, Yogish Bhat, deputy speaker , Abaya Chandra Jain, M L A; U T Khader, M L A and others were present during the CM’s visits across the city.
Shettar later inaugurated the CREDAI convention for real estate developers at TMA Pai Convention Centre.
