Mangalore: Yenepoya School Celebrates Independence Day

Mangalore, Aug 16: August 15 witnesses a frenzy of activities among Indians all over the globe. At the Yenepoya School a variety of events were planned to commemorate this day of pride for every Indian.

The vision of the institution is to produce whole rounded future citizens who will be positive contributors to the growth and development of the country. The whole teaching- learning activities are developed to encompass this philosophy.

The importance of every day is celebrated and opportunities are given to the children to share their thoughts, ideas and learning about not just the matters in their syllabus but much beyond that. The occasion of the Independence Day is no exception.

Celebrations and patriotic fervour marked the day at the Yenepoya School. It was delightful to see the future citizens of the country paying tribute to the freedom fighters, expressing opinions on the state of affairs in the country and espousing the roles and responsibilities of a citizen.

It was encouraging to learn that our youngsters are aware of the problems faced by the country and want to work towards making the nation developed in all spheres. 

These programmes instil in the children a deep sense of patriotism and belongingness to the country.  A variety of activities like fancy dress, skit, drama, patriotic songs and dance, declamation, essay writing etc. were organised by the students from Pre School to Pre University as part of the celebrations.

The message they sent across was simple - let each one of us do our bit towards nation building.

    This school is really different...The "lens" captured the "yens" who are future "mens" and "womens".
