Kundapur, Aug 14: The Catholic Sabha Immaculate Conception Unit, Gangolli, was honoured by the Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh central committee on Sunday August 12 for being the first unit of the Mangalore Diocese to enroll cent percent family Catholic Sabha memberships.
In Gangolli parish, each family has at least one Catholic Sabha member. Gangolli is the first unit to achieve this honour among the 165 parishes of the undivided Mangalore diocese.
Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh central committee president Nigil Periera honoured the Gangolli unit. On behalf of Catholic Sabha Gangolli unit, vice-president Wilson Rebeiro and secretary Renita Barnes received the honour. Catholic Sabha central committe president designate Elroy Kiran Crasto, Walter Cyril Pinto, general secretary Flavy D'Souza and treasurer Prof F M J Crasta were present on the dais.
President Nigil Pereira appreciated the Gangolli unit office-bearers and the dedicated work of its members in achieving this honor and appealed to other units to achieve the same too.
