Bantwal: Rajiv Gandhi Service Center Inaugurated

Bantwal, Aug 12: “It is not enough to just construct beautiful panchayat buildings. Work should be carried out in a systematic manner which plays a vital role in the development,” said Nalin Kumar. He addressed the gathering after inaugurating the newly built Rajiv Gandhi Service Center constructed in the Balthila gram panchayat limits here on Saturday August 11.

The new service center was built at a total cost of Rs 16 lac.

Nalin Kumar said that the panchayat management services play an important role than the work done in Prime Minister’s office. The various government schemes implemented in the taluk should set an example for the entire district, he added.

B Ramanath Rai, MLA presided over the programme. He asked the people to make best use of the various schemes provided by the government and said multi-gram panchayat drinking water scheme will be soon implemented within the limits of Bantwal Vidhan Sabha Kshetra.

Shailaja Shetty, taluk panchayat president, Dinesh Amtoor, vice-president, Chandraprakash Shetty, Chennapa Kotian, Dr Prabhakar Bhat, Padmanab Kotari, former MLA, Rukmaiyya Poojary, Vijay Prabhu, K Babu Shetty, Jeethendra S Kottary, Vishwanath Poojary, Narayan Nayak among many others were present.

On the occasion panchayat development officer Vishwanath and contractor Rohithaksha were honoured by the guests.

Laxmi Gopal Acharya welcomed the gathering. Rajesh compered the programme and Ashok, development officer proposed the vote of thanks.
