Los Angeles, Aug 9 (IANS): Actress Meryl Streep says she is beginning to appreciate life more with age. The 63-year-old also admits her kids are scared of complaining to her about their life.
"I find the older I get, the more intense my appetite for living and for appreciating life gets," femalefirst.co.uk quoted Streep as saying.
"I think I was heedless when I was younger. I thought it was endless. But I just lost two really close friends in the last two years, and, man, you realise you've got just seconds," she added.
She says all youngsters must learn to appreciate life as is.
"I mean, my kids wouldn't dare say they were bored to me. I would kill them! How dare you! You have the gift of life. You've got to get out there and eat it," she said.
Streep's latest romantic comedy "Hope Springs", features her opposite Tommy Lee Jones. It is about a middle aged couple who try to rekindle the spark in their relationship.
However, she says it's not a problem she has confronted with personally because of her passion for life.
She also says she has no prescription for keeping things fresh in the bedroom.
"I don't make any prescription myself. If you are bored with somebody, it's because you are bored with yourself. If you have a problem with somebody, often it's something in yourself," she said.
