Udupi, Aug 1: Manipal Institute of Management organized a two-day conference on ‘Skill and technology up-gradation programme on IT applications in Management of small Business Enterprises’, here on July 30 and 31.
The programme was sponsored by Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) and supported by Platform of Women Entrepreneurs Regd (POWER).
Dr G K Prabhu, registrar - Manipal University was the chief guest. Urmila Venkatesh, director of Raman Computers Pvt Ltd and Sadhana Kini, president of POWER were the guests of honour.
Professor P Ramakrishna Chadaga, director - Manipal Institute of Management, formally invited the guests and the gathering.
Professor Ajay Shah, the chief coordinator and organizer briefed about the programme. He emphasized the contribution of SIDBI in helping the young and budding entrepreneurs and the small and rural enterprises to come up and flourish.
The two-day programme witnessed discussions and presentations by various eminent personalities on the use of Information Technology and its multi-facet use.
