Three Tourists Killed in Himachal Road Accident


Manali, Jun 16 (IANS): Three tourists from Madhya Pradesh were killed and several others injured after their taxi skidded off the road and fell into a gorge near here Saturday, police said.

The taxi was carrying nine people, including seven tourists. It was going from Manali to Rohtang Pass when it fell into the gorge near Rani Fall, around 40 km from here, a police official told IANS.

He said the tourists were from Madhya Pradesh's Khandwa town.

The victims, belonging to two families, have been identified as Sikander Chauhan, Asif and his son Rehyana.

The injured have been admitted to the Lady Willingdon Hospital in Manali.
