UPA Names Pranab as Presidential Candidate

New Delhi, Jun 15 (IANS): Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee was Friday evening named the UPA candidate for next month's presidential elections.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi made the formal announcement after a meeting of her party and its allies, saying Mukherjee had to his credit a "long and distinguished record of public service for five decades".

She said he enjoyed broad support for holding the country's top post.

The UPA also appealed to all political parties, MPs and members of state assemblies to extend support for the candidature of Mukherjee.

    The president ion episode needs to be probed. Question is who will prove? Over night Mulayam changed his stand. Might be paid hefty amount & also blackmailed by CBI tactics. BSP is always under pressure by CBI. Indeed very good dram by UPA Queen with chalis chor.

    Now that country's Finance Minister Pranabda's elevation as President of Indian Republic is certain usually question arises who should be the next FM.It is true that Pranabda as FM and also wassholding various fortfolios from time to time has immensely contributed for growth path of the ecnomy.Surely ther arises a vacume with exit of FM in the Union Cabinet.FM fortfolio is very much important and powerful needs to be filled up not necessarily by political personality only.When the country is passing through very critical period of economy,there is a greater need to fill the vacume by able experienced economists like MMS.He need not be from political scene.In this back ground one experienced personality comes to mind as able person for the post
    is MR.Kundapur Vaman Kamath an ex baner,great economist,master mind of present ICICI and who revalutionised banking.He may not be from a political party but has a great forsight about country's economic scnario an its ups and downs from time to time.
    Country would immensely benifit if he is picked up by Sonia Gandhi for the coveted post of FM in UPAII,it would be shot in the arm for Congress party and UPA II as well.There can not be a better option for the said preposition.

    Shame to congress to open its branch office at Rastrapathi Bhavam. Thats all i can say. I hope all the other parties back Dr Abdul Kalam for this hounarable post than another congress Dummy.

    Its was a forgone conclusion that Pranabda will be the Presidential candidate and elected unanimously in view of his political stature.Under the circumstances Pranabda will be the most strogest President of Republic India has seen.Congratulations Pranabda.
