Mangalore: Award-Winning 'Byari' Movie to be Screened on June 16

Mangalore, Jun 13: Award-winning film ‘Byari’, the first movie in Beary language, will be screened at Ravindra Kala Bhavana of Mangalore University College in Hampanakatta here on June 16 at 5.30 pm, informed Dakshina Kannada Karavali Bellimandala Film Society president, Tulu movie producer and director Vijaykumar Kodialbail at a press meet here on Wednesday June 13.
The Dakshina Kannada Karavali Belli Mandala film society will screen art movies every third Saturday of the month. The Beary movie which is to be screened this time is produced by T H Althaf Hussain and directed by K P Suveran. The movie had bagged ‘Swarna Kamala’ national award the same year as it was released in 2011.
Vijaykumar Kodialbail said that those who missed the movie in the theatre when it was released could watch it the University College.
He informed that he has contacted Karnataka Film Academy president Tara and there will be a film festival of two or three days soon in Mangalore. "Those in rural areas of the district can contact Bellimandala Film Society to begin the film society in their areas," he said.
Karnataka Bank president Ananthkrishna, Tulu Academy president Umanath Kotian, producer of the movie T H Althaf Hussain among others will be the guests. There will be an interaction session after the show.
Malady Balakrishna Shetty, P Nithyananda Rao, Jagadeesh S Gurupura, Anil Navoor among others were present.
