Moral Policing - Goa CM Warns of Stringent Action Against Rama Sene

From Our Special Correspondent
Daijiworld Media Network - Panaji

Panaji, Jun 12: BJP-led Goa government has warned Sri Rama Sene of stringent action, if they try to indulge in moral policing in the state.

Chief minitser Manohar Parrikar on Monday June 11 said that any organisation or individual trying to take law in hand would be dealt with severerely.

“I have read an interview in national newspaper. There are statements like cracking down on pubs and bars in Goa. We will break hands of those who are trying to play with the law and order,” Parrikar said without naming Mutalik.

Mutalik, who is in Goa to participate in the All India Hindu Convention, in an interview to a Goa edition of a national newspaper has claimed that Sene wing will be started in Goa and it would deal with pubs and parties severely.

Sene was in the news in 2009 after its activists allegedly manhandled youths in a Mangalore pub.

“No one has the right to take law in hand. If they have some complaint, they can approach the authorities, they can come to me also,” Parrikar said, adding that `no one has a right to do moral policing in Goa.’

The chief minister said that if anyone finds that illegal activity like prostitution is happening in the state, they can inform the police, who will crack down on it.

On asked whether Sene would be allowed to open its wing in Goa, Parrikar opined `our country is a democratic nation. I will not stop anyone from opening the wing, as long as they believe in law and order.’

“They have to work within the framework of law,” Parrikar said.

Once upon a time in mangalore before the Period of Sri ram sene, we used to enjoy on the roads speaking (or taunting)laughingly with a driver of the next vehicle , he used to respond laughing, but now after the advent of Sri ram sene they bought hatred along with them and brainwashed , our friends have been isolated , they used to wait outside mosque to finish our prayers and vice versa ,.. coz of this everything changed ..,.Hindu culture, these people trying to safeguard Hindu culture but have changed their mindset totally...,

Hence Muthalik knows very well what he has to and what not, if people mindset are changed , then if pubs are attacked he can blindly say it is not our men even in mangalore they didnot attack the next day of their arrival...,, I do respect Hindu culture , but if it is against the culture let them complaint to the corvettes authorities ,

People like nagesh rakesh and other pseudos think bjp always support Hindu culture , if in that case y they support pubs and wine stores let them be closed" na rahegi baan soore na bhajegi band... Please daijiworld post this and let me out

Mr. Parikkar is right....No one has the right to take law on their hand. If anybody does it they must be punished severely. Even I request our justice system to punish the people who destroys publich properties on the occasion of bund etc...... We can see lot of people involce in throwing stones & burning public and private properties during this time. This is very serious. There should be immidiate action on this.

    Bobby Saxena, Shirva/manchakal/ranchi/U.S.A.

I have added U.S.A. to your address here
That is because you are against western culture and at the same time have a name that of western culture "BOBBY" - like Bobby Kennedy etc.
Before commenting about western culture you should first check, which all western cultures you follow. You go for dances which have western music and dances of western culture. Do you dance Bharata Natyam or many other Indian dances when you are in a party?. Do you wear Kurta/pyjamas or lungi/shirt? Just do not say for the sake of saying something. There are many guys here who say the same thing you said.

You will be the first one to take a flight to UK/USA or some other country just to get out of India, if given a chance. Do some introspection - OK BOBBY saxena?!!!

And when Goa was under Ram Rajya - can you provide the year of Ram Rajya began and ended and when Portuguese ruled Goa? I want to know these facts - can u enlighten me MR. BOBBY saxena? Are you one of the vanara who helped build the stone bridge between India and Sri Lanka (old name Ceylon - before that what name I do not know)

Please remember, Hon’ Parrikar is an IIT graduate and therefore has attained one of the highest levels of education in India and in my opinion, throughout the world as well. Only educated people likewise would know the true meaning of governance and to be governed. Being a Mangalorean and having lived in Goa for many years during my school and college days, I can’t help but envy the current BJP led govt. headed by Mr. M. Parrikar who stands by and for the people of Goa. May he become successful in all his endeavors as CM of this beautiful state.

For all BJP fans, this person is like a rose among a bush of thorns. So please don’t generalize and term BJP as an educated party and for those who think Congress is great, keep dreaming. Personally I don’t care if India is ruled by Congress or BJP, education is the key to progression, so let’s hope we have many more such highly educated politicians battling it out to make our great country a SUPERPOWER, a name which it rightly deserves. Jai Hind !

what is opposed by Ram sene itself is a bread & butter of goa state. so naturally the CM will have to cut the hands of bread snatchers. The Goan economy is highly dependent on tourism, which brings in the much-needed foreign currency. This has caused the mushrooming of hotels, resorts, pubs and other tourist related businesses, all along the northern coastal area. If tourism is the bread and butter then mining is the jam for which ram sena is not intrested. seems Sri Ram doesn't like jam.

Really appreciate your stand on this Mr.Parrikar, please break their hands if anyone tries to do moral policing. Very bold statement, unlike BJP Karnataka goverment who indirectly supports such acts :(

    Mr.Pariker,
Do Rama Sene followed the Indian Constituency and Law so far? We have seen the swing operation in one of the party bearer in Bangalore showing him taking contract for money. The job he undertook was to create hawk in the name of moral policing.

Entire nation watched Rama sene rowdies beating girls brutally in Mangalore pub. Going to the pub or bar is offensive ?

28 blue film clips were found in one of the party bearers mobile , when he was arrested in Mangalore. Was this Indian culture ?

BAN ANY PARTY WHOSE MAIN AGENDA IS ILLEGAL ACTIVITY. GOONDAISM IS THE MAIN SOURCE OF INCOME FOR RAMA SENE.Audit their source of income to clarify this.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.WE DONT WANT ANY MORAL POLICE ANYMORE.

These people they dont have any work to do. Always irritating other people and disturb their mental piece. They should deserve same treatment in Karnataka also, but what to do we are ruled by chaddis in Karnataka.

We have to Appreciate & Congrats, BJP led Goa government. Did the Karnataka government have the same courage to control such a so called, Hindu organization in our state? Goa’s BJP led government should model to Karnataka in some extent, instead of communal, corrupted and inner partial politics (Modi & Joshi) of Gujarat.

The petrol price in Goa is 62.50 only. This is also we can remember here to follow them, as same in Karnataka, instead of road strike and damaging the public property.

What a bold decision taken by Goa CM. Atrocity of Rama Sene in the name of religious fervor should be stopped once for all. People may not require “Moral Lesson” from any Sene or religious sects. But inside story is that Goa Police Department is very happy with CM Decision since Pubs & Bars will not be closed down which effect the turnover of Goa Police Personnel
