New Delhi, Jun 9 (IANS): Former top cop Kiran Bedi, also a prominent member of Team Anna, will soon be hosting an interactive talk show on an internet radio channel to put forward her views on issues like corruption.
"The Kiran Bedi Show" is scheduled to air every week at 'Radiowalla' on Saturdays at 9 p.m. and the first show is slated for June 30.
It will deal with several sensitive topics in the realm of corruption, government policy, social justice, drug abuse and lighter subjects. Bedi will invite prominent guests on her show from around the world.
"India is the world's largest democracy. I am extremely excited to be able to work with Radiowalla and reach out to the bright youth of today worldwide, hear what they have to say and hopefully induce change from a grassroots level. The internet is the only medium today to be able to reach out uncensored, even to rural India," Kiran Bedi said.
The show will accept live calls where listeners will have a chance to debate and discuss issues thus giving people a chance to openly express their opinions and play a pivotal role in influencing the national agenda, said Anil Srivatsa, chief executive officer (CEO), Radiowalla Network Pvt. Ltd., based in Bangalore.
It is not the first time Bedi is hosting any talk show. Earlier, in 2008 she had her first stint as a radio talk show host as 'Top Cat' on the FM channel Meow 104.8FM, an only-for-women radio station.
