Mangalore, May 22: ‘Yuva Jagruthi Samavesha’ organized by BJP Yuva Morcha, Karnataka, was held at Nehru Maidan on Tuesday May 22.
Inaugurating the convention, Yuva Morcha national president Anurag Thakur said that the common people are saddened by the administrative style of the UPA government. “Price hike of essential commodities, corruption, terrorism, and suicides among farmers are the outcome of this government and the nation is not in a position to bear any more scams,” he rued.
He said that a Prime Minister (PM) with the vision that former PM Atal Bihari Vajapayee had is the need of this nation and termed ‘Pokhran’ nuclear test undertaken during his tenure ‘a display of courage’. Thakur added that the BJP will achieve victory in the coming election.
“When the Yuva Morcha activists were banned from hoisting the ‘thiranga’ in Kashmir, it was the Congress government in Jammu and Kashmir which faced a major setback as the human rights commission issued a notice to the government seeking an answer in two months as it was withholding the right provided in the Constitution of India for citizens of the country. The UPA administration is reminding one of the Emergency period in India,” he lamented. Thakur said that the BJP Yuva Morcha will continue to fight against inflation and terrorism.
One of the speakers, Chakravarthi Soolibele of Jaago Bharath said that the nation needs a PM who is a combination of leaders like Sardar Vallabha Bhai Patel, Lal Bahadur Shastri, and Atal Bihari Vajapayee. About China he said that of the total population of China, 70 percent is above the age of 45 but in India 70 percent population is below the age of 45 which means that China will soon be a country of old people, but in India youth power is the ray of hope.
He lambasted the UPA for its silence even after the Chinese military forces entered India 500 times in just two years. “The home minister in the UPA government showed dumbness calling it to a ‘routine check up”, said Soolibele. He said that the Congress-led UPA government is humiliating freedom fighters like Bhagath Singh through its cowardly attitude.
BJP state president Eshwarappa said that through the BJP Yuva Morcha, various steps will be taken forward to fight for issues concerning the nation. He pointed out that people will not give another chance to the Congress at the centre as it engaged in several scams. Referring to a survey which stated that the people are leaning towards the BJP again, he said that next will be a Prime Minister from the BJP.
Chief Minister (CM) Sadananda Gowda, in his valedictory address, said that there were freedom fights in this nation and now there is need to safeguard democracy in the nation. He urged the Yuva Morcha workers to ensure that the allotted budget money is reaching the needy on time. He called upon the youth to participate in cleaning the political system.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and rural development minister Jagadeesh Shettar also spoke. Home minister R Ashok, social welfare minister A Narayanaswamy, primary education minister Vishweshwara Hegde Kageri, medical education minister Ramdas, deputy speaker Yogish Bhat, MLA CT Ravi, and Thara were present.
Earlier, a ‘Shobha Yatra’ was carried out from Jyothi Circle to the venue. As many as 50,000 Yuva Morcha activists took part. Security arrangements were beefed up in the city and there were participants from different parts of the state too.
