Eight Killed in Brazil Chopper Crash


Rio De Janeiro, May 9 (IANS): As many as eight people, including an alleged murderer, have been killed in Brazil after their military police helicopter crashed, Xinhua reported.

According to the police, the accident occurred Tuesday afternoon when the helicopter from Brazil's Military Police crashed, about 30 km from Piranhas city, killing eight aboard, including an alleged murderer who killed seven people two weeks ago in central state of Goias,

It happened when the helicopter flew back from Doverlandia, the crime scene, to Goaiania, the capital city of Goias.

Local sources said that the helicopter exploded in the air. However, the accident's cause is being probed.
