Panaji, Apr 27: Stories of the history, legends and traditions of Saligao, a typical Goan village, a book written by Fr Nascimento J Mascarenhas was released by the parish priest of Mae de Deus Church, Saligao, on Thursday April 26, evening, after the Fama service, in the presence of Fr Avinash Rebello, parish priest of Holy Spirit Church, Margao, and the author Fr Nascimento.
The 312-page book, published by Goa 1556, has been priced at Rs.350.
"The book offers a peek into the wonderful days of a bygone era in a typical village of Goa, a land with a rich history and a diverse society," the author spoke about the book and his motivation to write the same.
