Mangalore: Hit and Run - Teenage Rider Injures Pedestrian

Mangalore, Apr 25: In an accident that occured near Light House here on Wednesday April 25, an underaged boy riding a bike reportedly injured a pedestrian and fled.

The injured has been identified as Kodikal resident Raju (50). The rider is said to be S Lobo.

The accident occured when Lobo was overtaking a car at a high speed and hit Raju who was about to across the street. Lobo immediately ran from the spot, leaving behind his bike.

Raju, who runs a phone booth in the area, was rushed to a hospital with injuries on his legs and head.

    The parents of this teenager must be taken to task... These parents are the ones who teach the child to ride and watch the fun...boasting that even as a small boy he can ride... When will they ever learn to respect the law? They don't care for the life of their children... can they at least respect the common man on the street...? I hope the police will take a very strong action against teenage drivers...

    This teenager S.Lobo may be son of influencial person. I don't think the injured Raju will get justice. Just hope and pray that Raju will recover fast and he gets the justice.
