Kasargod, Apr 19: It is learnt that a lady from Aralikatte in Kunnu Bekal Fort in the district, recently was faced with the misfortune of having to travel for about 12 hours with the lifeless body of her child by train. Misriya (20), daughter of the late Moidu from Aralikatte, was returning home after getting separated from her husband, when she went through this ordeal.
Misriya had married Dushyant from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh about four years back. At the time of marriage, Dushyant had got himself converted into Islam, and was re-christened ‘Fakruddin’. The couple had two children, Nizam (3) and Sainala (1). Dushyant used to live with Misriya near Bekal fort, but a few months back, shifted base to his native place.
Misriya says once the couple reached Uttar Pradesh, her husband and his family members started exerting pressure on her to get converted into Hinduism. As Misriya was not prepared to give in to this demand, she left her husband, and reached Durgah Shariff in Ajmer, Uttar Pradesh, with her two children. From there, she took a train bound for Pune. However, in the train itself, Sainala died because of dysentery and vomiting she suffered during travel. Once the train reached Vadodara, Misriya got down from the train, and arranged for the cremation in a nearby mosque, it is gathered.
