Mangalore: 22nd Annual AMASI Skill Course Inaugurated

Mangalore, Apr 13: The 22nd annual association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (AMASI) three-day skill course and fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS) certification examination was inaugurated by AMASI president Elect Nagpur based Prof (Dr) Dilip Gode on Thursday April 12 at City Nursing College auditorium, Shakthi Nagar, here. On this occasion he appealed to all the participants to attend the national conference to be held at Coimbatore beginning on July 19, 2012.

President of City Group of Institutions and Eminent Surgeon Prof (Dr) Bhaskar Shetty presided over the function. Chairman of Adarsh Hospital Puttur, Dr Prasad Bhandary graced the occasion as guest of honour.

Course convener Dr Roshan Shetty in his welcome address revealed the importance and the purpose of this course. Eminent surgeons representing various medical colleges and hospitals participated as resource persons and guided around 150 delegates.

Association of Surgeons of India (ASI) Mangalore Chapter secretary Dr Keshav Prasad proposed the vote of thanks.
