Bangalore: Mangalorean Viyolla Pinto Bags 5 Gold Medals, First Rank in MSc

Bangalore, Apr 12: Viyolla Pavana Pinto, a native of Mangalore, currently residing in Bangalore, has bagged five gold medals in Zoology and has also secured the first rank in MSc, Department of Animal Sciences (Zoology), Bangalore University.
Viyolla is currently pursuing PhD in Entomology.
A convocation ceremony was held at Central School, Bangalore on Thursday April 12. The main guests for the event were D V Sadananda Gowda, chief minister of Karnataka and professor M R Srinivasan, former chairman, Atomic Energy Commission.
Viyolla is the daughter of Victor Pinto and Prescilla Pinto, residing at Dasarahalli, Bangalore. She completed her B Sc from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore.
Speaking to daijiworld, Viyolla said that she owes all her achievments to her family, who has stood by her as her pillar of support through all times thick and thin. Her message to other students was to pursue their area of interest and to follow their dreams instead of plainly going with the flow.
