Manama, Apr 12 (IANS) Two home-made bombs were Thursday hurled into a school in Bahrain, but there were no casualties in the blasts, Xinhua reported.
The education ministry said a "loud explosion" was heard after the first bomb was hurled into the Abdulrahman Al Dakheel Boys Intermediate Boys School.
The blast occurred before the students started their classes.
The second bomb fell in the courtyard but did not explode, the ministry said.
The ministry said the total number of attacks against public schools this year has risen to 61.
Seven policemen were injured earlier this week after a petrol bomb exploded in East Ekar area. Anti-government protesters have stepped up activities as Bahrain is set to host the Formula 1 race April 20-22. The protesters have urged the international community to boycott the race.
