Kasargod, Apr 9: “The media report on postponing solutions related to United Front’s (UF) change of position is baseless,” said KPCC president Ramesh Chennittala.

Addressing media persons at the city’s railway station on Saturday April 7, Chennittala who arrived to attend a few programmes said that the media report that the UF has come out with a solution related to electing a fifth minister from Muslim League is baseless. He said that the UF has so far not discussed this solution.

“Neither me nor CM Ummen Chandy are not aware of the same. Nobody has asked me to accept the post of deputy CM. I am happy to be in the top post than deputy CM. The issue of Muslim League’s demand for a fifth minister is with the high command and hopes to clear instructions. Earnest efforts are underway to solve all issues for the United Front to lead the state efficiently. The open statements in this regard pose hindrances to the party,” said Chennittala.

He also assured to restructure the KPCC for better governance. He said the UF will gain victory in Nayatinkara by poll with hopes of gaining victory more than the votes of Piravam by poll. He has no inclination to become a cabinet minister and not an aspirant for top posts. Chennitala added that the UF and Congress will solve all the issues after Easter.

KPCC secretary N Subramanya, district Congress president K Veltambu, local leaders P Gangadharan Nair, P A Ashraf Ali, K Neelakantan, Khader Nullippady, and A M Kayyamkudal were present on the occasion.
