Mangalore: Vehicle Transporting Cattle Seized by Bajrang Dal Activists

Mangalore, Apr 5: A group of Bajrang Dal activists forcibly stopped a vehicle that was transporting cattle here in the wee hours of Thursday April 5.
The incident occured at Ladyhill circle at around 4.30 am.
Five people armed with weapons were reportedly transporting the cattle to Kudroli when they were stopped by a group of 20-25 Bajrang Dal activists who had received prior information on it. Looking at the big group, the five men despite having weapons fled leaving behind the cattle and the Bolero pick-up vehicle.
The Bajrang Dal activists seized the cattle and the vehicle and handed them over to Barke police station. The cattle comprise 10 cows, two buffaloes and five calves, totally 17.
The activists alleged that the cattle were being transported illegally.
Barke police took the cattle and the vehicle into possession. A case has been registered.
